STAFF at Oxfordshire’s Travelodge hotels have been asked some very odd requests from guests.

The hotel chain revealed some examples from two of its hotels – Peartree and Wheatley – including one customer asking an employee if they could cut their hair.

Others include: “Do you have any spare pyjamas?”, “can you check I’m not snoring in the night?”, and “where should I go on holiday this year?”

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman, said: “Our hotel teams will always try their best to accommodate customer requests but there are some requests that we just can’t help with, such as changing the weather or counting the stars in the sky.”

Tim Cullimore, 55, owner of the Crown Inn in Benson and former director of the Ritz Hotel in London, said they had also received some odd requests.

He said: “Wealthy overseas clients in London have asked the concierges of the hotels to organise the private education of their children and to pick them up and take them in during the school holidays, in five- star splendour.”

Travelodge’s head office is in Thame.
