FOR 10-year-old Mia Myers, Russian chocolate biscuits were the highlight of her school’s languages day celebrations.
The youngster was among pupils at Great Milton CE Primary School in Little Milton who marked their European Day of Languages by dressing up in the colours of their chosen country.
Mia, pictured representing Russia, said: “It was fun learning about Tchaikovsky, St Basil’s Cathedral, learning ballet, how to say our name in Russian and taste authentic Russian food – which was really delicious, especially the chocolate biscuits!”
During the day, organised by teacher Vivienne Powell, the children tried speaking Italian, Irish, French, German, Danish, Spanish and Russian. Classes also tried out Irish and Flamenco dancing.
