A EUROPEAN flavour was brought to an Oxford school as pupils celebrated all aspects of continental culture.
The European Day of Languages at Headington School on Tuesday was organised by the school’s modern languages department to raise money for SOS Children’s Villages, a charity for orphaned and abandoned children.
Pupils and staff had their faces painted to represent different European flags and cupcakes were sold to help boost funds.
Anna Robson, 16, pictured right with, from left, Anna Thomas, Shreeya Parulekar and head of modern languages Rachael Pikem, said: “It is a really good way to get everybody excited about languages and it brings it all to life.”
