- Qualifications: GCSEs including English and maths NCFE level two in construction Completed a City and Guild employability course FORMER builder Jacob Ayres is hoping to wipe the floor with the competition for jobs and bag himself a cleaning job.
The 21-year-old, who has building and retail experience, has been looking for employment since January and is eager to get back into the world of work.
His last job was at Richer Sounds in Botley Road, where he was stockroom controller for six weeks on a temporary basis.
The job hunter said: “I helped customers, cleaned the shoproom floor and emptied bins.
“Before then I was a self-employed builder for about a year but work dried up.”
Since finishing at Richer Sounds, Mr Ayres, who lives with his parents, has been busy looking for a job and said: “I have applied for several jobs and anywhere I can hand a CV in.
“I am reliable, hardworking, flexible with my hours and I have good communication skills. I also have good team working skills from my experience at Richer Sounds.”
He added: “If I got a job I would be ecstatic. I would get out of here and get back working, doing what I want to do.”
