OXFORD University’s Old Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera will now open on Sundays.

The relocation of the History Faculty Library has allowed the university to save about £100,000 which has been reinvested in the libraries.

Bodley’s Librarian Dr Sarah Thomas said: “Students have asked for longer opening hours, and we are pleased that we can use our space more efficiently and increase our services this way.

“We’re also adding new seats to the Camera.

“The combination of these improvements will increase flexible use of these iconic buildings.”

The History Faculty Library has been moved from the Old Indian Institute in Broad Street to the Radcliffe Camera in Radcliffe Square.
