STAFF at Oxford’s Turf Tavern hope a cider festival will bring on some sunny weather.

The festival starts on Monday, July 30, with the hope of enticing tourists and locals in with a selection of ciders, daily barbecues and music.

Barman Daniel Chew said: “Hopefully the festival will start just in time for some sun.

“At the moment we are packed with tourists in the evening but because of the rain it is quieter during the day.”

The festival at the Bath Place pub runs each day until Sunday, August 5.

Mr Chew added: “We’ve got lots of ciders being brought in and there will be lots going on with music, hog roasts and other events.”
