AN ACTING dwarf from Oxford has praised the changing attitudes towards his condition that has allowed his career to take off.

Mark Sealey has made a living by proving he’s not too short on talent.

His acting career has seen him take roles beside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson as well as Ricky Gervais and Robert Downey Jr.

The 37-year-old, who lives in The Slade, Headington, said: “I have pretty much fulfilled everything I wanted to do.

“It has been great fun meeting all these big names but I still get a bit star struck.”

His acting credits include a goblin at Gringotts Bank in four Harry Potter films, a doorman in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and an autograph hunter in TV series Life’s Too Short.

Mr Sealey, whose acting debut was nearly 20 years ago at Oxford’s New Theatre, has also appeared in Casualty and comedy film Buddy.

His agent, Warwick Davis, who is also a dwarf actor, had the starring role in Life’s Too Short and also appeared as Filius Flitwick in Harry Potter.

Mr Sealey said: “There are a lot of opportunities out there for people like me and directors are not afraid to use little people any more.

“I do get typecast but there is not a lot you can do about it so it does not bother me.”

Mr Sealey – who has three children with Anne, his partner of 14 years – has Kniest syndrome.

He said: “Attitudes tow-ards little people have certainly improved.

“There are lots of things my children can do that I wouldn’t have been able to do.

“I went to a boarding school for disabled people in Hampshire but they go to the school in Cowley.”

Fighting fans may recognise Mr Sealey by the name ‘Little Legs’ as he has been travelling around the country taking part in wrestling bouts for the past seven years.

He said: “In the summer we go to Butlins and in the winter we go around town halls.

“It is great fun being thrown about but you have to enjoy it and be fit.

“I personally don’t do a lot of training because I don’t need to pick up a 6ft bloke.

“I do the comedy stuff.”
