A MAN was rescued from a river in Oxford last night.
The man was pulled out of the River Cherwell, close to Merton College Sports Pavilion in Manor Road, by firefighters using tow ropes.
Four fire crews from Oxford, Abingdon and Kidlington helped rescue the man at around 3.40am.
