A list of people convicted at magistrates' court recently: Gary Crew, 39, of Northfield Close, Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating on February 12 in Oxford. Given a 12-week curfew and told to pay £200 costs and £225 compensation.

Louis Faller, 19, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a window pane in Osney Lane, Oxford, valued at £80 on May 8. Told to pay £80 compensation and £25 costs.

Kieran Ward, 27, of Aldrich Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting clothes valued at £89.95 from Sports Direct in Cowley Retail Park on August 26. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs.

Andrew Nisbet, 32, of Lamb’s Crescent, Banbury, admitted shoplifting four bottles of wine valued at £8.76 from Morrisons supermarket and possession of cannabis (Class B) in Banbury on August 7, and failing to surrender to court bail on August 18. Fined £125, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.

Kimberley Petrie, 25, of Park End Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting toiletries valued at £25.75 from Boots in Cowley Road, Oxford, on August 27. Given an 18-month conditional discharge.

Sarah Goffin, 28, of Whitethorn Way, Oxford, admitted shoplifting three bottles of alcohol from the Co-op supermarket in Cowley on August 13. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £18 compensation and £85 costs.

Thomas Fewtrell, 55, of Treasure Island, Sentosa, Singapore, convicted of failing to give information regarding a driver’s identity after a Bentley Continental was alleged to have committed an offence in Banbury between July 4 and August 2. Fined £250, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Mihai Ilie, 22, of Western Road, London, admitted shoplifting, with three others, clothes valued at £565 from Fat Face in Abingdon on August 28. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.

Veriga Iulia, 19, of Higham Road, London, admitted, with three others, shoplifting clothes valued at £565 from Fat Face in Abingdon on August 28 and commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £250, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.

Narcisa Macelaru, 22, of Park View Road, London, admitted shoplifting clothes valued at £565 from Fat Face in Abingdon on August 28. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.

Adrian Mustata, 23, of Higham Road, London, admitted shoplifting clothes valued at £565 from Fat Face in Abingdon on August 28 and criminal damage to a cell at Abingdon police station on August 29. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.

Timothy Shire, 33, of Paradise Street, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on August 7. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs.

Claire Richardson, 37, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted theft from a person of a handbag and contents in Oxford on July 17. Given 12 weeks in prison, suspended for two years. Also banned from anywhere that serves food for six months and given six months’ supervision.

Malcolm Morton, 30, of Crotch Crescent, Marston, Oxford, admitted shoplifting baby clothes from Mothercare in Oxford on May 11. Told to pay £50 costs and £100 compensation.

Jeannie Kent, 60, of Caldecott Road, Abingdon, admitted harassment/breach of a restraining order in Abingdon on August 17. Given a one-year conditional discharge.

Roger Radburn, 35, of Atwell Place, Oxford, admitted theft of luggage and contents valued at approximately £950 in Oxford on July 2. Given 14 weeks’ jail, suspended for a year, and given a six-month curfew and six months’ supervision.

Wayne Jones, 25, of Glyme Close, Abingdon, admitted failing to surrender to court bail on July 30. Fined £50.

Gary Lashley, 27, of Gwyneth Road, Oxford, admitted failing to surrender to court bail and harassment without violence between March 1 and April 26 in Oxford by sending letters text and phone calls of an alarming nature. Given 12 weeks’ jail, suspended for a year. Given a year’s supervision and told to do 160 hours’ unpaid work. Also given a one-year restraining order.

Gary Simmonds, 35, of Nizewell Head, Steeple Aston, admitted driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver and driving without insurance on June 20 at the Green Road roundabout in Headington, Oxford. Jailed for five months due to previous convictions for driving while disqualified.

Russell Smith, 23, of Larkhill Road, Abingdon, convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on March 28. Given an eight-week curfew and told to pay £75 compensation and £150 costs.

Lee Davis, 27, of Laburnum Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a community order on July 8. Told to pay £25 costs and given an additional requirement to attend five two-hour back-on-track sessions.
