ARTISTS in Rose Hill can showcase their talents at a family open day on Sunday.
Printmaker Emma Molony will be on hand at Rose Hill Primary School to show how bunting can be created using images of summer plants.
The free event is being organised by Modern Art Oxford as part of Art in Rose Hill, a three-year programme.
It follows artist Maria Pask’s Deja Vu project, which saw estate residents acting out scenes she discovered in old copies of the defunct newsletter Rose Hill Roundabout.
Charlotte Gretton, school partnerships co-ordinator at Modern Art Oxford, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic day.
“There will be the opportunity to use professional printing inks and, rollers and get your design printed on to bunting material using a printing press.”
The event runs from 11am to 3.30pm.
Modern Art Oxford is hosting another free family open day at its gallery in Pembroke Street on Saturday, August 28.
Artist Dionne Barber will encourage people to use their senses and memories to construct a colourful snapshot of life, inspired by the paintings of Howard Hodgkin.
