WITNEY residents can learn how to go green at an environmental fun day in Witney today.
From 10am until 4pm, people can enjoy games and activities showing how to be more energy efficient, an energy bus, and plenty of opportunities to pick up some ‘green’ freebies.
There is also the opportunity to test fuel efficient driving skills and top the Top Gear-style leader board on a driving simulator.
The event has been organised by West Oxfordshire District Council.
Cllr David Harvey, West Oxfordshire District Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “It is important for residents to be aware about the environment and the impact we have on it, and the aim of this day is to get across a serious message in a fun way.
“Also important in these difficult economic times is the money that we can save by being more energy and fuel efficient. I hope families and residents will come along, take a look and enjoy the day.”
