Didcot: Gavin Smith, 24, of Marsh Court, Abingdon, admitted failing to notify the Secretary of State of a change in circumstances affecting Jobseeker’s Allowance, namely that he was working.

Fined £75, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Nathan Andrews, 27, of Smiths Wharf, Wantage, convicted of failing to identify a driver between March 20 and April 13 in Abingdon. Fined £120, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs.

Jamie Weaving, 24, of Springfield Road, Wantage, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on March 30 and April 6. Re-sentenced for the original offences of drink driving, resisting arrest and being in possession of cannabis (Class B) by being given a three-month curfew and six months’ supervision. Also told to pay £50 costs.

William Martin, 39, of St Peters Road, Honiton, Devon, convicted of two counts of assault by beating in Sutton Courtenay on March 12. Given 12 months’ supervision and 135 hours’ unpaid work. Also told to pay £50 compensation to each victim and £310 costs.

John Barrow, 58, of Stonor Close, Didcot, admitted drink driving in Didcot, on June 18. Namely having 66mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £375, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

Clifford Collett, 59, of Southmoor Way, Abingdon, admitted using words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Abingdon on June 13. Also admitted committed a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge and re-sentenced for the original offences of assault by beating, damaging property. Given 60 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.

David Cooper, 18, of Church Street, West Hanney, admitted drink driving in The Broadway, Didcot, on June 19. Namely having 87mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.

Liam Emanuel, Bryngoleu, Aberfan, Mid Glamorgan, admitted drink driving in Colwell Drive, Abingdon, on June 5. Namely having 58mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Fined £280, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.

David James, 50, of Childrey Way, Abingdon, admitted driving without insurance and a licence in Oxford Road, Abingdon, on June 21. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.

Daniel Alder, 26, of Foster Road, Abingdon, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance in Oxford Road, Abingdon, on June 26. Given 200 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs. Given six penalty points.

Thomas Pearce, 29, of Lansdown Road, Faringdon, admitted possession of heroin (Class A) and cultivation of 28 cannabis plants (Class B) in Faringdon on February 18. Given a nine-week jail sentence, suspended for a year. Also given 12 months’ supervision and six months’ drug rehabilitation.

Oxford: Darren Johnson, 27, of St Peter’s Street, London, admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on March 28. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

James Singleton, 22, of Hilltop Road, Caversham, Reading, admitted drink driving in Market Place, Henley, on June 21. Namely having 63mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Arron Gardner, 24, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted burglary from: D E C Ltd of two laptops, cash, a lottery ticket and keys to the value of £1,780; Multi Floors of tools to the value of £1,480; Uniheat of two mobile phones, two cameras, cash and a Dictaphone to the value of £220; and another building of £200 of stamps, all in Stockmore Street, Oxford, on August 15, 2009. Told to do 80 hours’ unpaid work and 19 days’ Thinking Skills programme.

Abolfazl Katanforoush, 40, of Bartlemas Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two bottles of aftershave valued at £59.98 from Superdrug in Oxford on May 14 and three bottles of champagne from Tesco in Oxford on June 10 to the value of £103.77. Jailed for six weeks due to persistent offending of a similar nature.

Nora Mannion, 44, of Denmark Street, Oxford, admitted possession of 10.739 grams of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on March 11. Fined £75, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Benjamin Wall, 32, of no fixed address, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on May 27. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and a restraining order indefinitely not to go with 25 metres of O’Hanlon House in Oxford. Also told to pay £50 costs.

Liam Fenton, 21, of Oxford Street, Middlesbrough, admitted acting as a pedlar without a pedlar’s certificate in Sonning Common on June 22. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
