Two men have been found guilty of robbing staff at massage parlours in Oxford using a fake shotgun.

Peter Mackie and James Qualter were both convicted yesterday of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm on December 23, last year, at a massage parlour in London Road, Headington.

The jury at Oxford Crown Court also found them guilty of attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm on December 27 at a massage parlour in Millway Close, Wolvercote, where a visitor fought one of the robbers.

The jury was continuing to consider its verdict today on a further charge of aggravated burglary on December 20 in Abbey Place, Oxford.

Forensic expert Raymond Jenkins told the trial that fragments of piping found at the men's home in Harolde Close, Barton and at the scene of the Wolvercote robbery matched

Mackie, 30, of Bulan Road, Headington, and Qualter, 34, of Harolde Close, Barton, had denied all the charges.
