Radio station JackFM conducted its breakfast show via Internet site Twitter after a technical fault today.
The Morning Glory show, which is broadcast from the station’s studios in Woodstock Road, North Oxford, suffered a two-hour phoneline fault and switched to non-stop music at about 8am.
Presenters Sue Carter, Trevor Marshall and Greg Burke continued the show by writing comments on the JackFM Twitter page and interacting with its 1,800 followers.
Miss Carter said: “In the old days, that kind of technical fault would have been the end of things, but we’ve got almost 2,000 followers and we were able to interact with them.”
