CHILDREN inspired by everything from Wallace and Gromit to Mickey Mouse are being given a chance to try their hand at animation.
Kidlington Parish Council is running a series of animation sessions after investing money into new multi-media equipment.
The first set of courses was held this week with a focus on projects for 11 to 16-year-olds. Pictured, from left, are Loretta Rodrigues, 12, Jack Lyford, 11, Holly Finlay, 13, Holly Lyford, 13, Stephanie Satterlee, 12, and Suzi Laws, 12, watching front Spencer Anderson, 15, and Ryan O’Gorman, 15.
Guided by Aardman-trained animators – the company that makes Wallace and Gromit – children learned how to put storyboards together, create characters on paper and bring them to life on screen.
Further courses will be held in August.
Sessions cost £10 for one day and £15 for two and can be booked on 01865 372143.
