A FACTORY in Cotswold Dene had to be evacuated after an ammonia leak.

Firefighters and an environmental protection unit were called to Enterprise House at about 7am on Sunday.

There was a large leak of ammonia, but it was contained within the building.

About eight workers were evacuated and crews wearing gas suits and breathing apparatus stemmed the leak in a refrigeration unit and ventilated the room.

The whole process took around five hours, a spokesman said.
