Oxford's children's hospital was given some band aid as a day of rock 'n' roll and family fun raised more than £500.
Hospital fundraising appeal Chox benefited to the tune of £525 as music fans in Kidlington enjoyed a trio of groups on Bank Holiday Sunday.
Organised by Natalie Leigh and Martin Gross from the Kidlington Recreational Trust Social Club (KRTSC), it was the first time the annual fundraiser had supported Chox in its five-year existence. Headline act The Bankers are pictured with Miss Leigh.
Mr Gross, the manager of KRTSC, which hosted the day-long event, said: "We try to do one fundraiser every year. The last couple of events have been in aid of Cancer Research but this year it was for the Oxford Children's Hospital."
He said the grandson of one of the club's kitchen workers had needed treatment in the hospital when he was born, adding: "She asked us if we could do anything to raise money for the hospital."
The event, at the Yarnton Road social club, also featured a bouncy castle, a barbecue, face painting and a nail-art stand.
Mr Gross said: "It was an excellent day with three really good bands. We had the John Berry Band up first, then The Corsairs and then The Bankers.
"It was superb and they all went down very well. I would say there were probably 300 or 400 in the crowd and most of them stayed for the whole day, which was great."
The organisers are already looking forward to next year. Mr Gross said: "The next one we are planning is on the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May which will be in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital."
