Scottish football legend Alan Rough has launched a design a pizza competition for pupils across Glasgow.

The competition is the joint effort of Di Maggio’s and Queen’s Park FC who have teamed up again to celebrate the Euros.

The pupils are tasked to create a match-day pizza using no more than four ingredients representing a Euros team.

Mr Rough will then select the winning pizza.

The winner will get the chance to make their pizza which will be featured on Di Maggio’s menu for a limited period.

They will also be awarded a family meal at Di Maggio’s Royal Exchange Square.

A jumbo-sized pizza will also be prepared for their entire class to indulge in and the winning pupil's teacher will be gifted a voucher for Di Maggio’s.

Mario Gizzi, co-founder of DRG, said: "We have worked with Queen’s Park on the design a pizza competition for a number of years, and it’s always a highlight.

"Community and engaging youngsters in a fun and creative way is an important commitment for both Di Maggio’s and Queen’s Park.

"We’re always delighted to support this competition, and hope the students have enjoyed taking part."

To register, forms can be downloaded at https://www.dimaggios.co.uk/design-a-pizza or collected from Queen’s Park Offices and Di Maggio’s, Royal Exchange Square.

Completed entries can be sent to marketing@thedrg.co.uk with the subject line ‘design a pizza’ or handed into Queen’s Park FC offices.
