An acclaimed hotel and restaurant nestled in Oxfordshire's countryside has been named one of the best in the UK.

Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons is Britain’s only country house hotel to have held two Michelin stars for over 30 years.

Le Manoir's kitchens have trained 28 Michelin-starred chefs including Ollie Dabbous, Michael Caines and Marco Pierre White since it opened.

Now, Tripadvisor has named the hotel and restaurant in the Travellers' Choice Best of the Best Hotels Awards.

Back in February, chef Raymond Blanc expressed his "immense joy" with Le Manoir.

It has held two Michelin stars since 1984 and is Britain’s only country house hotel to have held this badge of honour for over 30 years.

Naturally, the 74-year-old self-taught chef couldn't contain his joy after reading the latest Michelin Guide.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the acclaimed French chef said: "It brings me immense joy to share with you a momentous occasion in the history of @lemanoir  Picture this - two @MichelinGuideUK stars shining brightly for an astonishing 40 years straight, accompanied by the coveted Michelin Green Star from the start!
