A BRAND new takeaway has opened in Headington ahead of this weekend.
Babylon (House of Shawarma) opened on Thursday (February 29) in London Road, replacing the former Lemon Garden dessert café.
The hot takeaway store was refurbished in 2023, following the approval of a planning application in April 2023 for change of use.

It will be serving Middle Eastern Cuisine and the opening times are from 11am to 9pm daily.

Over the weekend, the new takeaway will also be having a food hygiene inspection to mark the new premises out of five.
Five means the food hygiene rating is ‘very good’ and zero means ‘urgent requirement is required’. The inspection is due to take place on Saturday (March 2).
