ARTISTS chalked up a win for public art as they decorated the pavements with games and drawings.
Part of the nationwide ‘Big Draw’ event, passers-by in Headington were encouraged to get their creative juices going and cover the streets in doodles on Saturday.
The theme for this year’s event was ‘play’ and organisers used this as an excuse to turn London Road into a giant playground with hopscotch, noughts and crosses and a maze all on offer.
Organised by Jean Wykes, the family-friendly day was intended to encourage young and old to start drawing as a way of developing and keeping hand, eye and brain coordination active.
The Big Draw is taking place across 25 countries in September and October.
