ORGANISERS of the Witney Feast have sought to reassure revellers that all the events are scheduled to go ahead as planned.

The 775-year celebration begins on Sunday, finishing on Tuesday, but organisers say they have been made aware of rumours that the church service and fireworks had been cancelled.

Organiser Emily Wilson said: "It's all going ahead as planned.

"I am very excited - its a big celebration and this year we are bringing a steam engine and people will be eating venison."
