YOUNG people got stuck in to creating accessible musical instruments at a workshop in Bicester this week.

Starting with lessons in coding, they learned how to design and make interactive tech that could be controlled with their own bodies.

Leo Luck, pictured, played music on a keyboard made from bananas connected to a laptop.

The session, aimed at helping youngsters interact with music in new ways, was organised by the Ark-T Centre, LGBT+ art project My Normal and the Saturday Science Clubs workshops from Science Oxford.

Two other workshops will be taking place at 1pm on Thursday and August 30 at the former St Edburg’s Primary School, Cemetery Road.

The tech creations will then be showcased the Roar disability arts festival at Cowley's Ark-T Centre on August 31.

Book via music@ark-t.org. The sessions are free, with a suggested donation of £5.
