A BURGLAR stole post including a bank card from an Oxford building and used it to withdraw £600.

Thames Valley Police has released a CCTV appeal in connection to the burglary and fraud, and said the man pictured could have 'vital information'.

At about 4.15pm on Saturday, July 28, someone entered a building in Radcliffe Square, central Oxford, and stole post belonging to a woman in her 20s.

The post contained a bank card which was then used to take out £600 at various cash machines.

The square is usually crowded with tourists at this time of year, as it is home to landmarks such as the Radcliffe Camera.

Police did not specify which building the burglar entered, but the square is largely surrounded by Oxford University colleges, including All Souls, Brasenose and Exeter.

Investigating officer Police Constable Douglas Young, of the Investigation Hub at Oxford station, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may recognise this man as we think he will have vital information regarding the incident.

"If you recognise him then please get in touch with us to help with the investigation."

“Anyone with information can call 101 quoting reference 43180233236, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or report via the force's website.
