AN Oxford United fan is offering a reward for the return of an England flag he plans to take to the World Cup final.

If England make the final in Moscow on Sunday, Liam Robbins fears he will have to travel without his St George’s Cross, emblazoned with ‘Oxford United’ across the middle, which he has taken to 23 countries.

Mr Robbins, who lives in Portsmouth, will donate £100 to local charity The Tom Prince Cancer Trust if the flag is returned.

He believes it was taken from the front of his Southsea home in St Edwards Road at just after 7am on Tuesday morning.

The flag was made for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and has been to Norway, Bulgaria and South America on its travels.

Mr Robbins said: "It has been with me on all my travels and even used as a sleeping blanket in several countries, most notably when a train from Croatia to Slovenia was eight hours late one cold October night.

"I don't care who did it. I just want it back as it has huge sentimental value."
