KARL Robinson is hopeful of having at least one other new signing on the plane when Oxford United fly to Ireland tomorrow.
The U’s boss, who has completed the capture of Tony McMahon, was looking to tie up a further deal before his squad depart.
“Hopefully we can get a left back done so that he can be on the plane,” Robinson said.
“And maybe one or two more will materialise before we play the games over there.”
He added: “We have got two deals done.
“One team needs to buy a striker before we can have their striker on loan.
“And (for the other) we have been told a winger will go away on pre-season with his Premier League club and when he gets back we can have him.
“I am really excited about that one and can’t wait to announce it. But we have just got to be patient.
“A few years ago I would have been a little nervous about the amount of players we have, but I know others are coming in.”
