THE Wolverine a fearsome character in the world of cinema and comics but in real life the creatures have been melting hearts at Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Three new kits have been born at the West Oxfordshire attraction and have now been unveiled to the public for the first time.

After spending approximately nine weeks hidden away in their underground den, the triplets are beginning to venture out and explore their new woodland enclosure under the watchful eye of parents Sarka and Sharapova.

The Park made history in 2012 as the first collection in the UK to successfully breed Wolverines, normally found in the forests of the Northern Hemisphere, in captivity.

Related to weasels, badgers and otters, the cute babies will one day grow long canine teeth capable of crushing bones and eating frozen food.
