A SOFTWARE company which worked on blockbusters Ready Player One and Star Wars: The Last Jedi has announced a boost in revenue.

Oxford Metrics plc reported group revenue was up 10.9 per cent year on year – a record first half performance – and that the business remained on track with its strategic plan.

It made the announcement as part of its interim results for the six months ended March 31, 2018.

Chief executive Nick Bolton called the figures an 'encouraging start to the year'.

Oxford Metrics is the parent company of Vicon, which is the leading developer of motion capture products which are frequently used in filmmaking. Subsidiary Yotta provides asset management software.
