AN EXPENSIVE bike was snatched from an elderly man after he left it unattended for a matter of moments.

Police have launched a CCTV appeal after the Wisper electric folding bike, which retails for upwards of £1,000, was stolen in Cowley.

The 75-year-old victim left the bike unlocked and unattended in Church Cowley Road, only to find it gone when he returned.

Police did not specify how long the bike was left for exactly, but said it was only a 'few moments'.

Officers are now keen to speak to this man, pictured with facial hair and a blue beanie hat, in relation to the investigation.

The theft happened at about 7.30pm on Thursday, February 15.

Police described the bike as 'distinctive' and said it had 20ins wheels.

The same model on the bike maker's website retails for £1,099.
