BREXIT views of people in Oxfordshire have barely changed despite almost two years passing since the landmark referendum.

Nearly three-fifths of Oxford Mail readers - 57 per cent - think the country would be economically better off in Europe - and a majority want to stick with the single market, a Brexit Google Survey that ran across Newsquest websites has found.

as well as this 63 per cent said Britain should continue to be part of the single European market.

In June 2016 at the Brexit referendum, Oxfordshire voted 56.7 per cent in favour of remaining in the EU and the poll among Oxford Mail readers 22 months on reveal almost the same figures.

The survey also found that 63 per cent said Britain should continue to be part of the single European market.

Regardless of how those surveyed voted in the referendum, they were more likely to be unhappy than happy with the way negotiations are going.

More than three-fifths of those surveyed on the site (65 per cent) said they were not happy with the status of Brexit negotiations at the moment.

But most of those surveyed said they would still stick with how they voted - 84 per cent of Leave voters and 93 per cent of Remain voters. Leave voters were more likely to say they would not vote in the same way now, with one in eleven Leave voters saying they would act differently compared to one in 28 Remain voters.
