NORTHERN restaurant and bar Victors is making its first move down south with a rooftop spot in the Westgate centre.

The £1.8m venue will open next month and have space for 120 diners, with an extensive bar, as well as an outdoor terrace with views over Oxford.

Victors offers a menu of modern American food designed to share, with small dishes served to the centre of the table, to create a social and relaxed environment.

Menu highlights include black cod, lobster tacos, sushi and lamb cutlets presented on a konro grill.

This is complemented by an extensive drinks selection including a wine list sourced by its in-house experts and a wide-variety of cocktails.

The brand, owned by East Coast Concepts, opened its first restaurant in Hale, near Manchester, in 2014, and has since grown into a firm favourite in the area.

The opening follows a record breaking 2017, with further expansion plans on the cards.

James Hitchen, chief executive and founder, said: “Our mission is to offer guests a luxurious yet accessible dining experience, the quality and range of our menus is unrivalled.

“Everything we do is to the highest of standards and we are about more than just outstanding food – it’s the entire experience. From brunch to when the lights go down and we become a vibrant bar, we want it to be memorable for our customers.

“As a brand we are ready to take the next step and set down roots in the south, and Oxford felt like the perfect new home for us.”
