CHILDREN got curiouser and curiouser in Bicester as the White Rabbit from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat were spotted in the town.

The pair joined businesses in the town centre on Saturday to mark World Book Day and launch a storybook trail round town.

It is part of a new event being supported by 15 Bicester businesses to bring life to the town and get children involved in World Book Day.

Youngsters have to collect the stamps and stickers from various businesses to fill up their ‘passport’ and then could be in with the chance to win prizes if they submit the finished booklet before the closing date on March 15.

Co-owner of Coles Bookstore, Caroline French, said: “It is the first time we all have held the Great Bicester Book Adventure and is all about mutual support and being enthusiastic about our town.

“We wanted to club together and show people Bicester town centre does have a heartbeat."
