A CRASH on the Botley Interchange caused long delays on the A34 this morning. 

Emergency services were called to a crash underneath the bridge at the Interchange.

Traffic backed up as far as Weston-on-the-Green with motorists facing delays of up to 30 minutes. 

Spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service David Gallagher said: "We were called at 08.24 this morning with the caller reporting a two car collision on the Southern Bypass Road.

"We sent an ambulance to the scene and one patient had sustained minor injuries and following initial treatment has now been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital."

The incident added to drivers' woes on Oxford's roads this morning as long-running roadworks on Frideswide Square continue to cause problems on Botley Road.
