POLICE, firefighters and paramedics responded to reports of explosions at electrical substations.
Thames Valley Police said its officers, and other emergency services, were in Ambrosden and Arncott, near Bicester, to assess the situation at around 8pm on Monday.
The area has now been declared safe by the fire service - but homes in the area may be without power for up to four hours.
The Defence Fire Risk Management Organisation, a fire service used to protect Ministry of Defence personnel and assets, attended the scene.
