CITY COUNCILLORS will meet today to set Oxford's budget for 2018/19.
The council’s executive board discussed proposals, which include doubling the council tax charge on empty and unfurnished houses, at a meeting on Tuesday.
Now it is the chance of the full council to vote on the plan as well as table amendments, with the Lib Dems intending to oppose measures to increase parking charges in Headington - set to rise from 85p to £2 for an hour.
A proposed rise in parking charges at park-and-rides run by the city council has been scrapped ahead of the vote.
The meeting will take place at 5pm in the Council Chamber of Oxford Town Hall.
