TWO men assaulted a 14-year-old boy and threatened him with a knife in Abingdon. 

The incident took place on Monday at around 9pm in the alleyway connecting Preston Road to Saxton Road.

Two men approached the boy and asked to be let into his house.

When the boy said no they assaulted him before threatening him with a knife.

Both of the men ran from the scene.

The boy suffered injuries to his face but did not require hospital treatment.

The first man is described as a white man, aged between his late teens and early twenties, around 5ft tall, of large build, with short brown hair and light facial hair. He had a deep voice. He was wearing a dark coloured coat with a fur lined hood and jogging bottoms.

The second is described as a while man, aged between his late teens to early twenties, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, slim with short dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers and a yellow JD bag with drawstrings.

Investigating Officer, PC Alasdair Uren, based at Didcot police station said "I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information that could help identify the offenders. Please call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting incident reference 43180045924."
