UPDATE - see how Adham got on in his challenge

‘EXTREME’ commuter Adham Fisher is taking up his latest challenge by riding as many Oxford Bus Company routes as possible in a day.

Over the years Mr Fisher, 32, from Leicester, has attempted to complete fastest journeys on 35 transport networks around the globe.

Now, following an invitation from Oxford Bus Company, the volunteer commuter will ride the bus company’s network today, hoping to try out 33 routes in one day.

He arrived at about 9.30am and is going from bus to bus throughout the day.

He said: “For each bus to count I will ride it for a minimum of one stop.

“One day might be ambitious but I’ll keep going until I have all of them.”

Mr Fisher has held quickest times for transport systems including Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Chicago and Toronto.

His proudest moment was when he and five other British racers smashed the New York record in 2013.

Oxford Bus Company managing director Phil Southall said: “Adham has done many of the major cities around the world and so Oxford, as an iconic visitor destination, was a logical choice. It’s brilliant to see such enthusiasm for bus travel.”
