APPLICATIONS for people who want to become firefighters in Oxfordshire will close today.
The head of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Simon Furlong has been running a campaign to get more people from minority ethnic backgrounds and more women into the force.
Just three firefighters in the county are currently from ethnic minorities.
The current round of applications will close today at 5pm.
