COUNCILLORS will discuss changes to the constitution at a meeting this afternoon.
Oxfordshire County Council's Audit and Governance Committee will be reviewing a report recommending a 'clarification' on the process of electing a new leader of the council.
The change is needed to comply with legislation.
If agreed by councillors, additional wording will be added to the constitution that states that if the council resolves to remove the leader, an election to fill the vacancy should occur at the same meeting, where possible.
