VACANT units in the Westgate Centre could be reconfigured to make sure they are filled by retailers and restaurants.

Westgate Oxford Alliance wants to change the make up of some the empty shops as part of its 'leasing campaign' according to plans lodged with Oxford City Council.

Certain tenants considering moving into the £440m have asked for units to be split into two or for two units to be converted to one bigger space.

Some have also sought greater flexibility over use of the space.

A decision will be made on Tuesday.
