BUILDING renovation work has been taking place at Oxford University’s Bodleian Library.

During the festive break work has been taking place in the Philosophy and Theology sections of the Lower Reading Room.

Students have been advised to work in other parts of the library to avoid the noise and library managers have apologised for any inconvenience.

Staff at the Bodleian’s Weston Library are looking forward to a busy 2018, including Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth, which will run from June 1 to October 28.

The creative genius of Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien will be fully explored.
