A RARE 1930s Abingdon-built MG sports car originally owned by Beryl Markham, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean east to west, has failed to sell at auction.
The black and white 1934 MG Magnette NA Tourer is described as being in ‘outstanding’ condition and was expected to go for between £90,000 and £100,000 but failed to meet an undisclosed reserve price when it went under the hammer at Bonhams auction in London today.
