Care home residents in Oxford proved you're never too old to learn a new skill when they took to the dance floor at a Country and Western-themed day.
The event at Iffley Residential and Nursing Home was held this weekend as part of national Silver Sunday – an annual opportunity to celebrate older people and their contribution to society.
The Iffley home threw open its saloon doors on Sunday and invited locals to join the fun with live music, fabulous frocks and an abundance of mouth-watering food.
Home manager Sue Stubberfiel said: "All of our residents and their families really enjoyed Silver Sunday and our Country and Western theme.
"It was a great way to celebrate such a special occasion – the room was full of smiles and laughter."
Sanctuary Care, which runs the Iffley home, also threw Silver Sunday parties at its other homes across Oxfordshire to celebrate the special day.
At Watlington and District Nursing Home, staff and residents stepped back in time to the ‘Swinging 60s’, donning bold, bright outfits and flicked eyeliner.
Wantage Nursing Home, meanwhile, hosted a 1920s celebration complete with live music and jazz lounge cocktails.
