TRADE unionists in Oxfordshire have announced they will hold a rally in solidarity with striking McDonald’s workers.
Staff at the fast food chain’s branches in Crayford, in Greater London, and in Cambridge are set to walk out next Monday in a row over pay and conditions. It will be the first ever strike at McDonald’s in the UK.
On Saturday it was announced that trade unionists would demonstrate outside the McDonald’s branch in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, from 6pm to 7pm.
The strike is supported by the Bakers, Food and Allied workers Union.
