JINGLING dancers inspired a jovial mood as they skipped and twirled at a weekend-long music festival.
Performers captivated crowds for the sixth Folk Weekend Oxford, which ran from Friday night until yesterday evening.
The Ashmolean museum's forecourt was filled with a toe-tapping audience on Saturday as more than 20 Morris dancing sides competed for attention.
Festival organiser Cat Kelly, who lives in Stanton Harcourt near Witney, said: "It's been fantastic. All weekend I've had people smiling in the streets and people stopping me to say what a nice time they're having. The venues in Oxford are so beautiful.
"Everybody was very chilled and relaxed. It's a very open and inclusive thing."
The singer and fiddle player, 36, hoped to bring back the event again next year.
This year's programme encompassed several venues across the city centre including the Wesley Memorial Church and the Pitt Rivers Museum.
