CHARITY champions from across Oxford are being invited to put their best foot forward in a game of footgolf to make youngsters' dreams come true.

Local man Jordan Sharp is organising the summer event at Hinksey Heights golf course in aid of fledgling charity Partyman's Magic Makers.

Up to 36 teams of four are being sought to enter the 18-hole tournament at a cost of £27 per player and local businesses are also being asked for sponsorship.

The event is taking place on Sunday, July 23 and will also include a barbecue lunch and a raffle in the clubhouse.

All funds raised will go to Partyman's Magic Makers, which organises parties, days out and experiences for children who are seriously ill.

Mr Sharp, a manager at Laser Kombat in the Ozone Leisure Park, said: "It is a recently-formed charity but the long-term ambition is to take it global.

"The aim is to give a boost to children who need it most and also to their friends and family."

Anyone interested in taking part in the footgolf event is asked to call Mr Sharp on 01865 788 380.
