Traffic is easing on routes into Oxford following earlier chaos caused by a crash on the Southern Bypass.
For much of the morning traffic was queueing along the Eastern Bypass, Botley Road and the A34 northbound as far back as Abingdon.
There are reports that a lorry and a car were involved in the incident at 8am between the Kennington Roundabout and the Heyford Hill Roundabout.
Drivers reported journey times of up to one hour from Abingdon to Oxford.
A recovery lorry arrived to remove the vehicles involved shortly before 10am.
South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Michelle Archer said paramedics attended but nobody required hospital treatment.
One lane is blocked and traffic is moving very slowly.
