A bicycle hire scheme using smartphone technology has been launched at Oxford Parkway station.
Commuters will be able to hire bikes for up to a day at a time and Chiltern Railways said it would increase travel flexibility and add to the city's sustainable transport options.
Local firm Bainton Bikes, along with Donkey Republic - a company which already runs a bike renting scheme in the city - have joined forces with Chiltern to launch at the station in Kidlington.
Commercial Director at Chiltern Railways, Justin Baines, said: “Our aim is to offer our customers the best travel experience.
"This partnership with Bainton Bikes extends onward travel options for customers and provides wider accessibility to the Oxford area.”
User can rent the bike for a specific period of time and unlock it through the Donkey Republic app.
The Oxford Parkway scheme would cost £7.50 to hire a bike for two hours, £10.50 for six hours, £12.75 for 12 hours and £15 for a day.
Bainton Bikes can also be hired for a week at a time or using a longer term service for up to six months.
