PLANS for a new £40m retail park to include a Next and an M & S, thrown out by councillors last year, have been resubmitted.

Consolidated Property Group revealed today that they had submitted a new application for the Bicester Gateway Retail Park to Cherwell District Council.

If approved the retail park would sit beside a separate project to include a gym, a restaurant and 350 car parking spaces.

The retail park would create an additional 100 car parking spaces.

Martin Ridgway, Managing Director of Consolidated Property Group said it was a ‘robust’ application and added: “We believe this amended application addresses all the issues that became apparent through the Appeal process.”

The scheme would also create 200 jobs and the A41 carriageway would we widened if given the go ahead.
