OXFORD United are auctioning this season’s match-worn Remembrance Day poppy shirts to raise cash for the Royal British Legion.

First team players donned the poppy shirts on their blue away shirts for United’s League One trip to Shrewsbury Town on November 12.

U’s managing director, Greig Box Turnbull, said: “Credit must go to our generous supporters who have helped raise so much money over the years for such an important cause.

“Everyone was immensely proud on Military Day. It was such a good day for the military and the club together. The shirts look fantastic and are brilliant items of club memorabilia.”

The limited-edition shirts are available for auction, with the club accepting sealed bids emailed to poppyshirt@oufc.co.uk

Bids are to be submitted by 5pm on Thursday, December 1. There are shirts from every player who was involved in the squad and each shirt has been signed by the whole squad.

Bidders should specify which shirt they want and how much they will pay.
